It may be summer but the weather is expected to be kind to UAE residents for Eid.

Even as the heat soars as we move towards peak summer months, weather conditions during Eid are expected to be relatively pleasant.

A five-day forecast issued by the National Centre of Meteorology brought with it news of partly cloudy conditions throughout the long Eid break. There was also a little surprise for rain-lovers - convective clouds may bring with them some rain on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in eastern and southern parts of the country.

Dubai: The UAE will experience unstable weather beginning Saturday with a chance of rainfall in some parts that will develop into thunderstorms with gusting winds from Monday until Wednesday, forecasters warned.

The National Centre of Meteorology in its latest weather bulletin issued early Thursday said a trough of low pressure extending over the region will result in the flow of a moist air mass from the Arabian Sea, accompanied with an upper air trough from the north.

Heavy rain, thunder and lightning could be on the way over the next week, forecasters have warned.

Clouds will begin building on Saturday, especially over the west and east, bringing a chance of rain. They will continue to gather on Sunday, moving over southern and eastern parts of the country, leading to further showers, especially in the afternoon and evening.
